Season Finale ??

"OK, here’s my immediate thoughts on tonight’s episode.

First, who else noticed that at the end of the “coming next week” promo, it called it the “SEASON FINALE”??? Are they trying to tell us the good news that way or are they just trying to keep us guessing?"

What is a Widget?

"We're talking about small, fairly straightforward applications that can run on your desktop or online: floating clock faces, scoreboards, weather monitors and so on. Lost and Moonves

"Speaking at the Bear Stearns Media conference in Palm Beach, Fla., CBS CEO Les Moonves said he's surprised by Rupert Murdoch's slowdown comments. If CBS has seen any ad sales drop, he says, it's been offset by political spending.

On the eve of the Hulu launch, Les also criticized his competitors' attempts to go online, though he didn't call anyone out by name. He said he doesn't want to see just a regurgitation of programming on the Web. CBS should put interactive programming on the Web, not just replays of TV shows. This sounds an awful lot like what CBS digital boss Quincy Smith has been saying.

Three to four years from now we'll have $750 million in digital revenue primarily from CBS properties spread out across the Internet.

Online is going to grow in leaps and bounds, but certain things work better in certain mediums. Says he doesn't want the Internet to just be TV on a smaller screen.

Psychologically people are saying that Showtime is the new HBO."

Jericho: Sedition and More

"CBS today posted the press releases for the next two episodes of Jericho, named “Termination for Cause” and “Sedition.” I’ll let you read through them and find the surprises yourselves, but please take a special note of the guest cast in “Sedition.”




"As a filmmaker, I truly appreciate the films and television shows that are able to take me out of the “business” and into the story. Jericho is one of those shows and that is why I am happy to tell everyone about it. 24 captured an audience with excellent writing, acting, producing, directing, and a unique story. With Jack Bauer not returning until January of 2009, Jericho is set even more so now to capture a number of the audience that once faithfully tuned into 24. Hopefully, CBS will market the next three episodes well, run the series again during the summer to capture a greater audience, and then come back in the fall with a full season of episodes."

"Well, I saw the first three episodes of Season 2 last night and they really are fantastic.

I have to admit, it felt weird, after so much time, to see new episodes of Jericho. It took me until about halfway through the first episode, “Reconstruction,” to really settle in. I think part of it was that, given the fact that the season’s story is 22 episodes worth compressed into seven, it took a little bit of the first ep to comfortably settle into the new direction the story’s taking.

I wanted to share some information about the episodes, but I promise none are true spoilers. They’re mostly cast tidbits, such as who’s in what episode. I thought long and hard about what I would reveal and what I wouldn’t, as I know many of you really don’t want to know spoilery stuff ahead of time."

If it is indeed true that Journeyman won’t get its back nine episodes, this is the biggest television injustice since Jericho was unceremoniously canceled by CBS."

Jericho: On Universal HD

"Universal HD, a cable network owned by NBC Universal, is snagging Jericho for two mini-marathons in high definition this weekend.


This is what’s weird: Jericho airs on CBS. But whatever. The more airing Jericho gets, the better. They’re airing the first six episodes of Season 1:

Saturday (December 15):
8 p.m. — Pilot
9 p.m. — Fallout
10 p.m. — Four Horsemen
11 p.m. — Walls of Jericho
midnight — Federal Response
1 a.m. — 9:02"

" I've been the only person around to suggest that Jericho's revival had less to do with angry and persistent fans as it did the uncertain landscape which the networks and studios find themselves.

The strike was looking extremely likely well before the authorization vote was called, and I think it is past the time that we put some serious weight behind the possibility that CBS brought back a limited run of new Jericho episodes as a backup plan to mitigate some of the strike damage.

And now it occurs to me that if CBS holds Jericho back until the other shows start running out of scripts and everyone is forced to start showing reruns and a flood of new reality programming, CBS will be one of the only places in town that has original programming to air - and good stuff at that, in Jericho.

This brings a much greater potential for eyeballs with no other new programming anywhere on TV that isn't reality garbage, it could give those limited number of Jericho episodes a rating unlike any the show has ever seen before. It's really a shame and I'm sure CBS is cursing itself for not ordering more episodes, because if this is the scenario that plays out, those seven episodes aren't going to last very long."

I first noticed terocious in the "Passions" thread. He is very friendly and welcoming and loves Jericho. In the past week he has seemed to branch out. I see his comments posted in various places and he can Digg with the best of us. He has also been submitting stories to Digg and I've seen him out on other threads much more often.
